Gibraltar High School senior Simon Kopischke has accepted the Competitive Scholarship from the New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology (New Mexico Tech). The Competitive Scholarship offers significant tuition reduction and a regular stipend to select nonresident students with outstanding standardized test scores and a high GPA. Kopischke, the son of Kärin and Alan Kopischke of Fish Creek, will begin math and computer-science studies in the fall.
